The Puritans will look to get back to winning ways on Tuesday night as we make one of our shorter trips away to Kettering Town.
Kettering have been regular opponents for Banbury over the years. We last met in 2018-19 when Kettering won the Southern League Premier title including a 3-0 over Banbury at Latimer Park. Earlier that season saw a fantastic 4-1 for Banbury at a rain drenched Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium, see highlights .
Early momentum for Andy Whing’s side has slowed but performances have been promising, being named by many opposition fans as the best side they have faced. We have lost our last 3 league games on the trot, 1 of those however was a long Tuesday night game to league leaders Kings Lynn Town. We currently sit 13th in the table.
Tuesday opponents Kettering currently sit 20th in the table just two points above the relegation zone. Their recent league results have been mixed they have 2 wins and 3 losses in their last 5 games but with better home than away form, their most recent result being a 4-2 win over Blyth Spartans.
