Banbury United return to Southern League Premier Central action on Tuesday evening as they welcome local rivals Stratford Town to the TUGO Community Stadium. The Puritans sit 17th with six points from eight games, while Stratford are 21st with three points. With both sides looking to climb the table, Tuesday's local derby promises to be a closely fought encounter.

Banbury United

Kelvin Langmead's side have recorded one win, three draws and four defeats from their opening eight league games, with their most recent league outing ending in a goalless draw away at Worcester City. However, Banbury will head into Tuesday's clash with renewed confidence after an impressive 3-1 FA Trophy victory away at Peterborough Sports on Saturday, with goals from AJ George, Jacob Scott and Ben Nash securing their place in the next round.

The Puritans will now look to carry that momentum into the league, with Levi Steele remaining one of their main attacking threats after scoring four league goals this season.

Stratford Town

The Bards arrive still searching for their first league victory of the season, having drawn three and lost five of their opening eight matches. Their most recent league outing saw them suffer a narrow 3-2 defeat to Bromsgrove Sporting, despite twice coming from behind to level the contest.

Paul Davis' side have shown signs of being capable of competing with stronger opposition, including a 2-0 FA Cup victory away at Alfreton Town earlier this month. Dan Lafferty, Kobe Hall and Owen James will be among the players Banbury need to keep an eye on as Stratford look to turn their performances into their first three points.

Previous Meetings

Banbury have enjoyed the better of the recent head-to-head record, winning eight of the 14 recorded meetings compared to Stratford's two, with four draws. The most recent meeting finished 0-0 at Banbury in February, while the previous encounter saw the Puritans claim a 3-0 victory away at Stratford. With only three points separating the sides in the table, another closely contested encounter could be in store under the lights.

Stadium Access and Parking

Please enter the stadium via Tramway Road (opposite Morrisons) for all vehicle access. Pedestrian access is via both Station Approach (the train station) and Tramway Road.

Limited parking is available at the ground. Please follow stewards’ directions. Supporters are advised to use the multi-storey car park at Banbury train station (Merton Street, East side). Parking charges apply.

Standing and seated areas are available, with cover, as well as toilets and refreshments in both areas.
