Following our 3-0 win against Warrington Town last weekend, we now look towards our first Emirates FA Cup fixture of the season as we take on Nantwich Town in the 2nd qualifying round.

Mark Jones and the lads have managed to turn our form back around over the last two games having picked up four points including an impressive win over Warrington. Ken Charles is the man of the moment having bagged two goals in our last game, bringing his tally to four for the season.

Banbury United has of course experienced great success in the FA Cup in recent years, reaching the first round proper twice and narrowly missing out last season with a loss in the fourth qualifying round.

Nantwich Town are currently members of the Northern Premier League Division One West having been relegated from the Northern League Premier last season. They currently sit 14th having won two and lost two games this season. They have won two games to reach this round having beaten Skelmersdale United 6-0 in the preliminary round, drawing 1-1 with Shifnal Town in the first qualifying round and winning the subsequent replay 2-1.

The two sides met previously in the FA Cup in 2021 with Banbury running out 2-1 winners en-route to the FA Cup first round proper.
