John Nicholls has been there for Banbury United for over 20 years. In the words of current managing director, Adam England, “It’s a story of longevity. We are part of the community and should be involved.”
The heating and plumbing merchant has provided a bedrock of much-needed financial support, sponsoring our football club through multiple ups and downs. The first deal was done by Andrew Nicholls (son of John) who is now the Executive Chairman of the business.
The highlights of the John Nicholls sponsorship are the grandstand, built in 2000 when Banbury United won the Hellenic League and needed to provide at least 250 spectator seats to compete in The Southern League. The business also sponsors the Banbury United Community Lottery, as those who click excitedly onto the lottery Facebook page on a Friday afternoon to check the winning numbers will know!
From its base at the Banbury Trade Park, John Nicholls serves both the trade and the public with a wide range of plumbing and heating materials, and bathroom showroom. They offer free local delivery and also have branches in Aylesbury, Shipston-on-Stour, Kidlington, Towcester, Buckingham and Witney. They also have a spectacular kitchen and bathroom showroom at Bell Plantation in Towcester.
Adam England gets down to The Spencer Stadium, powered by egg.com as often as he can, although nowadays, as Dad to a keen footballer, he coaches Middleton Cheney FC U12 girls during the season.
Thank you, John Nicholls, for all the support over the years. We are truly grateful.
