The first thing to know about Walraven, a manufacturer of fixing systems, is how to pronounce it properly! It’s not Wall-Raven but Wall-Rarven. Being a Dutch business, you get a bonus point for pronouncing the W as a V.

While our main contact at Walraven, Marketing & Communications Manager, Sally Williams, confesses to not being much of a football fan, their sponsor season tickets are well utilised and swapped among many ‘hard core’ Puritans among the company’s 56-strong Banbury-based workforce. Phil, Gary and Elaine are familiar faces.

Walraven is a name strongly associated with Banbury United, the company having been a sponsor for over 10 years, including seven years of away shirt sponsorship. For the 2025-26 season, Walraven joins us as a pitch-side advertiser, and we’re delighted to welcome them back.

From its facility on the Wildmere Industrial Estate (visible from Hennef Way), Walraven UK manufactures some of its core products for the UK construction market including Phenolic Pipe Supports, RSWBs (Rapid Sliding Wall Brackets), Split Band Clips and Britclips® electrical clips.

Sally explains why Walraven UK sponsors Banbury United, in addition to other community initiatives such as support of Katherine House Hospice, “It’s important that we give back to our local community and to help develop football in the town.”
