Ady Fuller
Ady Fuller (pictured) is a former England Schoolboy international who was with Watford as a YTS and was part of their FA Cup Youth winning side of season 1988/89.
Had played for Corby Town and Long Buckby before first signing for Banbury United from Ford Sports Daventry in December 1998. In three spells over the course of the next ten seasons, Ady made 470 appearances for the club scoring 44 goals. Though a defender his goal tally is explained by the fact that he was for many seasons the club’s regular penalty taker.
His time at Banbury was broken by a short three month spell with then Hellenic League side Brackley Town in season 2003/04 and he also left the club a second time to join then Midland Alliance side Leamington in January 2007. He However he moved on from Leamington to Woodford United just two months later before then once more returning to the Spencer Stadium for a final season (2007/08).
Ady then had a short spell as Assistant Manager at UCL side Wellingborough Town at the start of season 2008/09 but left in October 2008 to take up a joint manager’s role at Woodford United. Was appointed Daventry Town manager in April 2009 and in his first season in charge led them to the UCL Premier Division Championship and promotion to the Southern League. Last season, Daventry reached the Southern League Division One play-offs but were beaten in the final by Hitchin Town.
Paul Lamb
Midfielder Paul Lamb started his career as a youngster with Northampton Town and progressed to make 3 Football League appearances for the then Third Division side in season 1992/93. After being released at the end of season 1993/94 he played for Dunstable Town, Buckingham Town, Bedworth United and Wealdstone before joining Boreham Wood in December 2001. He moved to Hemel Hempstead Town in July 2002 and then to Brackley Town in the 2003 close season before joining Aylesbury United in June 2004 where he was captain for the 2004/05 season.
Paul switched to Banbury United for the start of season 2005/06 and spent two seasons at the Spencer Stadium notching up 54 appearances in total, though only 10 in his second season due to injury, scoring 5 goals. He joined Woodford United in the summer of 2007 before moving on to play for former Banbury United team-mate Liam O’Neill at Bedworth United 12 months later. Joined Ady Fuller at Daventry Town in the summer of 2009 as player/coach and later assistant manager.
