New Youth Player Membership is launched

. Banbury United16 Oct 2024 - 08:04

Banbury United youth players may attend home matches for free, with a £10 Club membership

We are delighted today, to be launching a new Banbury United Youth Player Membership, for all boys, girls and young adults who are registered to a Banbury United Youth (boys) or Banbury United Girls team in 2024-25. For just £10, players will receive a non-transferrable membership card that will give them free entry to all men’s first team league games when presented at the turnstiles.

The membership can be purchased online, via this page.

The membership card will work as a season ticket – just turn up at the turnstile with your card and you do not need to buy a ticket. If you forget your card, you will need to pay the regular ticket price for your age and/or student status.

This membership grants access to home matches as of the Banbury United v Hitchin Town match on Saturday November 2nd.

“We want to see more of the town’s youngsters becoming regular spectators at our matches, encouraging their friends and family to come along and see what Banbury United is all about. A Youth Player Membership allows players to own a piece of their Club as well as enter matches for free, which will hopefully increase their involvement with their fan-owned Club as they progress through the player pathway,” said Claire Dumbreck, Banbury United FC Club Secretary.

This membership is for Banbury United Youth and Girls team players only. Cards will be named and only the named card holder is permitted to enter matches for free. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult to attend matches at the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium. Accompanying adults can pay regular ticket prices either in advance or pay on the gate. They may take advantage of our £1 match ticket discount by purchasing the standard Club membership for £20, which can be done online here.

Please note that U11s go free at all Banbury United matches, so this is membership is predominantly targeted at players in teams from U12 to U21 age groups (although we warmly welcome members of any age). For U18s, the cost of entry to a league match is normally £5, meaning the cost of a Youth Player Membership is recovered after attending only two matches in the season.

Player registrations will be checked to make sure the membership has been purchased by a registered player. Any non-Banbury United registered player who purchases a Youth Player Membership will have their membership cancelled and no refund will be given. Any membership card that is found to have been used by an individual other than the person named on the card, will be withdrawn from use, the membership will be cancelled and no refund will be provided.

If you are a parent purchasing the membership for your child, you must provide your child’s name when you are buying the ticket. This is at the final “assign attendees” stage of the purchase process. If you are already a member yourself, you will have to click on "edit details" to add your child's name. It is possible to purchase Youth memberships for multiple children in one transaction.
