We’ve seen some really promising signs so far this pre-season and that continued last Friday against National League opposition in Oxford City with a really good display despite the 2-3 loss. Mark Jones’ side has continued to take shape with the signings of centre back Finn Tapp and left wing back, Yonis Farah, Tuesday, will give Mark another opportunity to look at some triallists as he looks to finalise his squad ahead of the new season.

Tuesday sees Banbury face a familiar foe in Slough Town. We faced Slough six times between 2014-2018 as both clubs were mainstays in the Southern League Premier at the time. Many fans will remember the 3-0 win against Slough in April 2015 as it allowed us to take our relegation battle to the final day. Slough’s most recent match was a 6-0 win against Isthmian League side Uxbridge.
