Royston are the early season pacesetters in the Premier Central Division, leading the table after a 3-0 home win over Alvechurch on opening day which they followed up with a most impressive 5-0 win at Biggleswade Town in midweek. Playing for Royston this season, having his second spell with the club after joining them in the summer from Hayes & Yeading United, is former Puritan Scott Bridges who scored one of the goals in their 3-0 won over Alvechurch last Saturday.
For United, manager Mike Ford will be looking for his charges to build upon their much improved second half showing on Tuesday against Nuneaton Borough when a Ricky Johnson goal ten minutes from time earned them a point in a 1-1 draw.
