New signing

Simeon Maye, a 28 year-old central midfielder, has joined the Puritans on a non-contract basis.

Simeon was with Birmingham City as a youngster and then played for Boldmere St Michaels, Redditch United and Hednesford Town before joining National League side Solihull Moors in December 2016, going on to make 21 appearances in the top level of non-league football in the remainder of that season.

After a loan spell at Rushall Olympic in season 2017/18, Simeon joined the Pics on a permanent basis in the summer of 2018. A spell with National League North side Hereford at the start of season 2019/20 followed, before he moved to Brackley Town in January 2020.

Simeon joined Leamington in the summer of 2020. After suffering a long term leg injury in a Leamington FA Cup game against Kettering Town in September 2021, Simeon was out of the game for almost a year but returned to the Leamington side at the start of this season. Simeon made 22 National League North appearances for the Brakes this season but, after finding game time limited from the start of the calendar year, left the club last month.

Commenting on the news Manager Andy Whing said “Simeon is a great signing for us and his experience in the league will help our young squad for the remaining games of the campaign”

Simeon is looking forward to his debut “I’m excited to join the club. With twelve big games to go I’m hoping we have a strong end to the season”

Simeon will be available for selection for Saturday's trip to Chorley.

We welcome Simeon to the club.
