Wow – the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium is looking a lot smarter after yesterday’s impressive collective effort. Around 50 volunteers came down throughout the day to paint, weed, mow, scrape, strim, shear and clean. From older members who stayed as long as their legs held up, to board members, some of our youngest fans and Banbury United Youth players. You are all amazing and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Volunteers were rewarded with sunshine, meeting new player signing, Yaw Ofosu, who certainly got to see what Banbury United is all about on his first visit, and a very welcome pizza delivery from new shirt sponsor, Caprinos. Thank you to them for the sustenance, and for being part of our gang!

Our grounds team is always looking for fresh blood (and knees!) and we need to uphold our focus on high standards throughout the year. If you think you could spare a few hours a week or month to take care of light gardening and cleaning, this would help enormously.
