Banbury United is delighted to announce the appointment of two new volunteer board directors. Natalie Brown and Ryan Duggleby bring extensive community-building and business experience to the Club. They have both been contributing to various aspects of the Club for some weeks and are co-opted until formal election at the next members’ meeting.
Please do come and say hello to Natalie and Ryan at the remaining home matches. It’s a huge commitment to fit running Banbury United around full-time professional commitments and we are incredibly grateful to them for stepping forward.
Welcome Natalie!
“I am a women’s community builder on a mission to create places and spaces globally where women can thrive and am the founder of the Inspired Dreams (ID) brand, an umbrella company that houses the different projects that are close to my heart and which centre around empowering others.
I have 10+ years’ experience working in property, media and marketing and have built a portfolio of properties with an aim of providing homes for vulnerable women. I have built online/offline platforms which have helped organisations to reach their target audience and share their message in diverse sectors such as sport, film, fashion and beauty.
I worked for Arsenal FC for eight years and am a huge football fan and love to give back so regularly work alongside charities to raise money such as The Prince’s Trust, Breast Cancer Awareness, Time For Change and MIND mental health charity. I also spearheaded a campaign for the charity ‘Dress for Success London’ which helps women on a low income get back to work by providing clothing for interviews.
I am very excited to be joining Banbury United Football Club and am looking forward to supporting the club and helping to raise its profile in order to increase attendance and revenue.”
Welcome Ryan!
“Football has always been a huge passion of mine, and with a lack of any playing talent whatsoever, I have tried to be involved off-field wherever possible. I have previously been involved with a Premier League team, working alongside club executives on topics ranging from matchday experience and community outreach, through to marketing and commercial management. I also have experience at the non-league and grassroots level.
I also have several years of professional experience in risk management, governance, and commercial operations, working across sectors including insurance, retail, technology, and manufacturing. My current role sees me advise organisations and companies of all sizes and locations to develop robust risk management practices and generate resilience in the challenging landscape that we work in.
I have recently moved to Banbury, my wife’s hometown, and truly believe that this club does, and should, lie at the very heart of the community. I’ve seen first-hand the selfless and tireless work that the many volunteers and staff undertake on a day-to-day basis, and I am privileged to offer my services to work alongside them. It is no secret that clubs like ours face adversity and challenges at every turn, and I have every intention of using my experience to help Banbury United to continue as a sustainable, valuable, and successful community team.”
