The club can confirm the signing of 25 year-old central defender Joel Meade (pictured). He has previously played for Oxford City, Witney Town and Didcot Town. He also had one game for Banbury United back in season 2012/13 playing against Leamington on Boxing Day 2012 before opting to move to Didcot shortly afterwards. With paperwork now completed he is eligible for tomorrow’s game against Dorchester Town and is expected to be in the squad.

A couple of youngsters to have also signed Southern League forms for Banbury this week are 17 year-old central midfielder Frankie Baigent who has been with Leamington Hibernian and Leek Wootton prior to joining the Brooke House College Football Academy and 18 year-old midfielder Spencer Bradley who was with the Racing Club Warwick youth side last season and has previously been with Leamington at youth level.
