Young guns complete the day in style to lift the cup!

On Saturday 3rd June, a rare opportunity for this group of young players to get involved in an FA sanctioned competitive environment finished with success on the field as Banbury United's current Under 7 squad took the trophy home.

The lads played out of their skin all day, with 6 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, which placed then second in the overall table.

A semi final match up vs Carterton Town Colts (who matched up evenly v United in the round of games, drawing 1-1 and playing their part in the best match of the day) ended in victory for Banbury, meaning a final match vs Brackley Athletic. Both semi final and final were hotly contested and United had to dig deep and play their best football of the day, eventually running out as overall winners!

As you can see, they enjoyed lifting the trophy and receiving their own personal one to remind them of a successful day's football.

The team have one more tournament to play this season as they go to Moretonville on June 24th for more competitive action vs teams from across the UK

Well done boys! The coaching team cannot be prouder of your efforts!.
