UPDATED: All-ticket arrangements for National League North fixture v Chester this Saturday

. Banbury United14 Aug 2023 - 11:40

All-ticket match with restrictions. Online sales close Friday at 3pm. Advance cash sales for home supporters available on Wednesday.

This article has been updated since first posted on August 14th. Sections in italics show the changes.

We look forward to hosting Chester FC to the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium this coming Saturday August 19th, kick-off 3pm, for the second home game of our National League North season.

We are expecting a strong contingent of away supporters and, as a result, we have increased our security provision and a larger than usual police presence is expected for this segregated fixture. Working with local authorities and under the guidance of our Safety Officer, the Club has opted to make this an all-ticket fixture for both home and away fans, to ensure a smooth operation of the event.

Working together with Chester FC and using the capabilities of our shared third-party ticketing system, Chester will manage the sales of away tickets to their supporters for this fixture.

These measures complement the crowd segregation work carried out at the ground over the off-season, which has gone a long way to allaying concerns that may arise for certain fixtures that attract a large travelling support.

All-ticket event

All-ticket means every spectator wishing to enter the ground must arrive with a pre-purchased ticket to present at the gate (paper or QR code on device). People without a ticket will not be able to enter the ground. The only exceptions are spectators holding Banbury United season tickets or sponsors' passes, as well as those on the VIP gate list.

Working together with Chester FC and the capabilities of our shared third-party ticketing system, Chester will manage the sales of limited away tickets to their supporters and are contacting their season ticket holders for priority access. If you are a Chester supporter and bought a ticket on Monday, be assured that your ticket is valid. Any Chester supporters with questions, please contact fans@chesterfc.com.

Home supporters can purchase tickets via this link: https://banburyunitedfc.ktckts.com/event/bufc2324h02/chester-all-ticket

For this fixture, only home supporters who have an account on the Banbury United ticketing website will be able to purchase an online ticket for this match.

Home fans will need to first log in to their account and then buy the tickets. If you try and buy the tickets without logging onto your account first, it won’t work.

Ticket sales are limited to four per individual. Sales will close on Friday 18th at 3pm.

Home supporters: if you do not wish to purchase tickets online, or cannot because you do not have an account, we will be selling tickets in person, for payment by cash or card, at the ground on Wednesday 16th between 6pm and 8pm. Just turn up.

Volunteers and security on the gates may check the correct category of ticket has been purchased and a request for ID and proof of age may be requested.

Any supporter found in the wrong area of the ground will be removed from the ground.

Thank you for your co-operation.
