Sponsorship campaign for next season is live as The Puritans’ successful year comes to a close. How would your logo look on our shirt?

Volunteers and players have launched Banbury United’s campaign to attract new sponsorship for the 2026-27 football season – and specifically the search for a new home shirt and stadium sponsor.

The race is on to sign up businesses that wish to be part of the success on and off the pitch at North Oxfordshire’s largest football club, which is owned by its community and run by volunteers. Highlights

• 50+ league games played at The Spencer Stadium each season
• Matchday crowds of 400 to 1,600 in 2025-26
• FA Cup and FA Trophy magic
• Community, charity and fundraising events and local schools coaching programme
• Hundreds of football shirts sold to fans

In addition to these two ‘big ticket’ items, the Club has plenty of affordable sponsorships available, including social media, floodlights, pitch-side banners, programme adverts, matchday and player sponsorships.

Banbury United’s men’s team, under manager Kelvin Langmead, has delighted fans this season with strong, entertaining performances that saw The Puritans close to reaching the play-offs after a remarkable nine-match unbeaten streak. This season also saw the relaunch of Banbury United Women and the move to open age football for the Development Team. 220 youngsters play across the region, wearing the Banbury United red and gold colours.

“Sponsors play a vital role at Banbury United, where we have to find every penny ourselves to sustain our role in the heart of the local community and to put on a high standard of football that the town can be proud of,” explains Claire Dumbreck, Club Secretary. “We have looked after more than 70 sponsors this season, from fans backing their favourite player, to large national businesses building their brands.

“Two of our key sponsors’ situations have changed, meaning we are looking for a new home shirt sponsor and stadium sponsor for next season. These are big holes to fill but they are great opportunities for brands to make a very firm and meaningful association with the town.

“We work with each sponsor individually to deliver what return on investment means to them. In the case of one sponsor this year, we collaborated on an awareness campaign that resulted in a reach of 375m people and $4m of media coverage. However, most of our sponsors simply join our Club as a good thing to do as a local employer. Not every business will have the funds to sponsor the stadium, but they could consider buying a couple of season tickets to share around their employees as a staff perk.”

There are three Southern League Premier Central fixtures left to play this season. Tickets for Banbury United’s last match v Redditch United on Saturday April 18th are available here. Do come along and meet the people that make Banbury United special – from the car park and turnstile volunteers who welcome you on arrival, to the fans making the atmosphere in the Town End terrace, to our players and team staff who are happy to have a chat.
