The Board of Banbury United Football club is extremely pleased to announce that Walraven Limited are the new first team away shirt sponsor for the 2016-17 season. The deal also includes an option for a second year.
Commenting on the deal, Mark Allitt United’s Commercial Director said “It’s fantastic news for us that an international business based in Banbury has decided to back us with a large sponsorship package such as this. Walraven have been kind enough to support us in the past with pitch side advertising and player sponsorship of Leam Howards, but this deal is obviously on a much bigger scale. We’re delighted to have them alongside us as we move back into the Southern League Premier Division and as we look to develop the club further.”
Walraven will also have their name on the back of United’s home shirt and have extra advertising in the ground and in the club programme.
Walraven’s General Manager Gary Gardner said “We’re absolutely delighted to be sponsoring the Banbury United away shirt for this coming season. The club has just won promotion and is now a supporter owned club, so it’s a very exciting time for us to be increasing our sponsorship levels. The club is ambitious and well run on and off the pitch, so we want to help it move forward.”
Banbury United Chairman Ronnie Johnson was equally pleased to agree the away shirt sponsorship package and said “This is another clear sign that the Banbury Business Community is fully supportive of the fan ownership model at our football club. Walraven are a well-respected international firm that we’re fortunate enough to have based within Banbury and we look forward to working in partnership with them.”
John Nicholls Ltd were the away shirt sponsor last season and details of their continued involvement with the club for the forthcoming season will be released in due course.
