Biography
Former player for Banbury who was appointed the club’s manager in June 2025. Began his playing career as a striker with Preston North End, having loan spells with Carlisle United, Kidderminster Harriers and Shrewsbury Town. Joined Shrewsbury permanently in 2004 and after making more than 80 appearances for them as a striker was converted to a central defender. Spells with Peterborough United and Northampton Town followed before, after making a career total of 375 Football League appearances, he dropped down to non-league playing for Ebbsfleet United, Kidderminster Harriers, Nuneaton Town, Harrogate Town and Brackley Town prior to joining Banbury United in August 2020. Made 78 appearances and scored 12 goals for the Puritans through to the end of season 2022/23. Played for Kettering Town in season 2023/24 and then had a brief spell with Racing Club Warwick at the start of last season before calling time on his playing career
