Four-timer for Ricky Johnson as United move back into the play-off places

This was a game that was effectively over as a contest at half time with United leading 4-0 at that point.

United got off to the best of starts, going ahead in the second minute when an in-swinging corner from the left by Mark Bell was glanced into his own net at the near post by Neil Arndale.

United doubled their advantage in the 23rd minute. Zac McEachran took the ball inside from the left before passing across to Leam Howards eight yards out who was tackled by Jack Camm but the Larkhall player handled the ball as he fell to the ground and the referee had no hesitation in pointing to the penalty spot with Ricky Johnson converting competently low to Kane Mannings left.

In the 29th minute it was 3-0 when a low cross from the right by Mark Bell was controlled on the six yard line by Johnson with his right foot and back to goal before he turned sharply and struck the ball with his left into the bottom far corner of the net.

Johnson completed his second first half hat-trick of the season in the 40th minute when a cross from the left by Miles Welch-Hayes saw him in space to head past Mannings from six yards
.
The second half was controlled by United and it was comfortable enough for them though for most of the period it was the proverbial non-event.

However, four minutes from time and United got a fifth. Second half substitute and debutant Felipe Barcelos took the ball inside from the left and from just inside the penalty area he shot low towards the far post. Mannings ought to have dealt with the shot but only succeeded in spilling the ball into the path of the incoming Johnson who slotted the ball home for his fourth of the afternoon from close range.

The win moves United up into fifth place and back into the play-off positions.
