After a slow start with both teams finding their feet Banbury thought they had struck first when Michelle Matthews ran through onto a pass from Katie Kukla only to have her moment of glory taken away by an offside flag! However, Banbury didn’t have to wait long and this time it was Ellie Mander racing onto a pass from Katie Kukla to open the scoring for Banbury in the 21st minute.

Just before half time, goals from Katie Kukla (42) and a second for Ellie Mander (44) gave Banbury breathing space at half time.

Banbury were quick into their stride in the second half with Kyra Cotter adding a 4th (50) and Player of the Match Katie Kukla adding a 5th and 6th (67 & 79) completing her third hattrick in three games - her second goal an audacious finish from the edge of the MK box!

It was pleasing to finish the game with a clean sheet. We worked hard throughout the game, the back four was solid and Olha Lapshova in goal dealt confidently with everything that came her way. The one time MK got past Olha, Bea Moreira-Watkins made an excellent goal line clearance.

We now await to find out who our next opponents will be.
