Kelvin Langmead and Giorgio Rasulo re-sign with the club.

The club are delighted to announce Kelvin Langmead and Giorgio Rasulo have agreed contracts for the 2022/23 season.

This will be Giorgio’s 5th season at club having joined in the 2017/18 season. Giorgio has been a pivotal part of the team in his time at club and captained the side for much of last season. He currently sits on 145 appearances for Banbury United having scored 26 goals.

Giorgio had this to say upon signing
“I am happy to have signed for another season. Last season was so enjoyable with this group which made it an easy decision to stay and show what we can do at this level.”

Kelvin joined the club at the start of the covid shortened 2020/21 season and last season created a great partnership with Jay Williams while also chipping in with some vital goals. Kelvin has made 53 appearances scoring 9 goals.

Kelvin said this “I love being at this club. In the last 2 seasons we’ve created so much history, and enjoyed some incredible moments together. It’s a special changing room and ultimately remaining part of that was the biggest reason for me carrying on. It’s going to be another historic season and I’m looking forward to being back in with the lads next week!”

Andy Whing was naturally delighted to re-sign the two players and had this to say.

“Obviously we’re absolutely delighted that our captain Gio has re-signed for next season. It just shows what a good dressing room we have with the lads committing again for next season. Gio has undoubted quality and wants to show everyone at the next level what a good player he is”

“We’re absolutely delighted that Kelvin is with us for another season. His experience on and off the pitch is massive for us. Kelvin was one of my first signings at the football club and what a signing he has been, I’m delighted to be working with him again this season.”

We have no doubt supporters will welcome back both players and are excited to see them play in red and gold again this season!
