It all started in 1996 when we debuted in the West Midlands Women’s League with the visit of Shrewsbury Town Ladies. A game which we won 4–3. Our goals that day came from Jenny Thorp, Claire Foster, Stacey Freeman (2). If anybody knows the whereabouts of any of those players or any of the players in the squad photo below, we’d love to hear from them. They were the pioneers of Women’s football in the town, and we thank them.

They were the pioneers who laid the foundations for women’s football in Banbury. We’re proud of that history, but we’re equally excited about the future and the next generation of women and girls who will carry this club forward. This anniversary is about honouring our past, celebrating our present and creating an even stronger future together.”

Since we began, we’ve had our highs and lows like any team but we always come back determined and stronger. The team are currently playing their football in the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League.

We have a squad consisting of both returning and new players with a range of experience but all with the enthusiasm and determination to make this a successful season, and we have a manager who knows how to get the best out of his players.
